Three-Day Jewellery Making Workshop in Jaipur

Learn the basics of jewellery making, explore Jaipur’s gemstone markets and create your own piece with guidance from experienced artisans. This three-day workshop gives you time to learn, practise and discover the craft behind handmade jewellery.

Day 1: Learn the basics of jewellery making

• Discover essential jewellery-making tools and learn how to use them.
• Understand the basic properties of metals used in jewellery.
• Practise measuring, cutting, filing, shaping and finishing metal.

Day 2: Explore Jaipur’s jewellery and gemstone markets

• Discover different gemstones, cuts, colours and metals.
• Learn how artisans and jewellery makers choose their materials.
• Explore how jewellery is made and learn the basics of pricing.

Day 3: Create your own jewellery

• Work alongside experienced artisans to create a piece, such as a simple silver ring or pendant.
• Discover wax modelling and learn how it is used in jewellery casting.
• Learn how your jewellery is finished. Whether you can take your piece home that day will depend on its design and finishing requirements.

What’s included in the workshop fee?

The ₹18,500 fee includes making charges for the jewellery you create during the workshop. There are no additional making charges.

Materials charged separately

Silver for pieces you take home is not included in the workshop fee. It is weighed in front of you and charged at the current silver rate, plus a 10% allowance for silver lost during the making process. The silver price will be confirmed on the day.

For example, if silver costs ₹250 per gram, a 4-gram silver ring would cost ₹1,000 for silver plus ₹100 for the 10% allowance. That is ₹1,100 in addition to the workshop fee. This is an example, not a fixed quote.

Any additional gemstones or materials will be discussed before the workshop. Workshop details and costs are subject to confirmation.
